Defocus: Language is a dish best served exquisitely
These days, we hurry a little too much with most things. Language, alas, is one of them; I thoroughly enjoy a well-written article or book in which the author has imbued his language with as much elegance and charm as possible without detracting attention from the content. It’s akin to the perfect seasoning for an already excellent dish.
Well-known comedian, author and gadget aficionado Stephen Fry appears to concur, and it wouldn’t be an exaggeration to say there’s a good chance others in favour of finely crafted language would, too.
